Built by LMS/BR between 1945 and 1952, and based upon a similar earlier locomotive built by the LMS, the BR Class 11 was a 120 strong class of shunters used across the LMS, and later BR, networks.

Powered by an English Electric 6KT 6-cylinder engine, these diesel electric shunters have 350HP and 34,900lbf of tractive effort for shunting passenger and goods trains in yards.
